        Help! my bunny has fleas!!

She stayed with my friend for a few weeks while hubby and i where moving house and my friend has dogs inside.

I am thinking my bun picked them up off the carpet from the dogs.

I have been trying to get them off by hand but they must be breeding to fast for me.

Is there anything i can get to put on her for fleas?

Bun picked up fleas last summer even with our dogs and cats on advantage. I flea combed her up well and they didn’t come back. I would try that and vacuuming a lot first before having to pick up meds. Is she free range?; because my rabbits had so much fur accumulated under my bed – that’s where the fleas were having a party at and they are gone now for a year with just keeping that zone clean – well it’s starting to get hot here again so we’ll see if they come back. I am hoping not. Here is a section about fleas. If it is a serious case your vet can give you revolution, and if you have to use a flea bomb or something you can’t put the rabbits back in there until 24 hours or more because of the poison.

The articles Lintini provided probably cover this but it won’t hurt to repeat it. > Do NOT use Frontline as it is toxic to rabbits. Revolution or Advantage are safe.

And you will have to treat all the animals in the house… not just the bunny.
