So, I just had my bunny spayed…yesterday.  This morning I woke up to check on my little girl, and make sure she was still eating, and to check on her incision.  Everything seemed fine, then I looked under the area she was just sitting, and I noticed some strange “discharge”.  I’m sorry to sound gross, but it was in the shape of a worm, long and the same width.  I can’t tell if it is blood or feces.  It didn’t just fall apart when I picked it up, it had a film over it.

I called the vet and they instructed me to bring that as well as regular feces to them.  I did so, haven’t heard anything back yet.

I came home from work to check on her, and she seems to be doing great, but I am still concerned about what I saw.  My mother has been staying with her, and says she isn’t picking at her incision…

Does anyone have an idea of what it may have been???

What colour was it? Was it like a clump of feces? It might have been some form of cecal pellets but it’s good you’re getting your vet to check it out. I’m thinking it’s probably just the stress of the surgery that has got her system going kind of wonky… I hope it’s not a real worm!

How soon did your vet say they would be getting back to you with the test results?
Did they say you should watch for it again, and if it happens, what to do? (Like bring her in asap?)
