I just got home from work, I picked up ChaCha to groom her. I groomed her for a good 10 minutes, and I put her down in the living room, gave her a treat to thank her for allowing me to groom her.

I went upstairs into the kitchen to wash her vegetables and I bring the plate down to her. I go to rabbit proof another part of the living room, and I hear ChaCha eating the veggie.

All of a sudden I hear running, and I jump over the couch and she is running back and forth in one area and she runs to her maze haven and can’t stop THUMPING

        What in the world???

I am scared!! I don’t know what is going on with her

She has calmed down.. is eating a piece of lettuce. She’ll take a piece of romaine off the plate and run off with it, foot flicking… ??? I hope there isn’t anything wrong with her hind legs..

My bunny used to get like this all the time, back when he was fresh out of the outdoor hutch and unsure of his new humans.

She could have heard some TV, outdoor noise, or something high-pitched that you couldn’t hear that freaked her out. As prey animals, bunnies can get freaked out very easily. She might also have scratched a foot on some furniture or otherwise slightly hurt it. Just watch her for a little while, and if she’s still like this tomorrow morning, you might want to make sure she doesn’t have anything wrong with her.

            She is doing fine now.

I just pet her and she was so relaxed she tucked in all her limbs into her cottonball position

Good thing I’m off tomorrow. I will monitor her.

The TV was on, so I am assuming that scared her.
