I picked Tansy up today and I felt 2 furry “things” underneath her in the but area.  ?  They were small, but about the size of 2 unshelled peanuts and that shape too.  I wish I could get a good look down there, but Tansy acts insulted when I try to take a peek.

Lemony had those both before and after his testicles descended, and both before and after his neuter. I’m not sure what they are. At first we thought they were his testicles, but they weren’t – those ended up appearing under the area you are talking about. Is it a dude thing? I dunno…

Baxter and Bella get insulted too but I still look! lol How old is Tansy? You can feel them. The testicles are not furry. They are hairless lol. Maybe she/he is getting ready to descend. Yikes! Not uncommon though lol When they do descend, you will definetly see them! Not to be gross but Baxter walks proud…for now! LOL

Wouldn’t be such a bad thing if she were a he would it? Neuters are a lot cheaper than spays!!!

Guess what – she IS a he. Also, Tansy was neutered this morning. The vet called at 9:00am and said he was doing good and the surgery was fast and easy.
I’m glad Tansy is a boy, because I was really worried about spaying being hard on her (him -LOL). Although, it’s so weird because I’ve thought he was a girl for 3 months. I called him my little pretty girl He also has lots of nice pink blankies and toys. Poor little man! The whole time he was a BOY!
I might end up changing his name. Tansy could be a boy’s name, but I also like the name Wixon.

What?! You went from calling your bun your”little pretty girl” to neutering the next day!!! That is hilarious! How did the neuter happen so fast? Did they even do blood work?

I had an appointment to have her spayed, but they just did a neuter instead.  No – they didn’t do blood work – they felt that he was too small to get enough blood.  This vet was the only one I could find in my area that did rabbit spay/neuters.  He does them daily and it’s a teaching facility.  It isn’t the ideal situation, but I really couldn’t find any other vet.  This is the vet that the local Humane Society uses for spay/neuters and every vet I talked to said they direct people with rabbits to him.

I just picked him up from the vet’s. He is doing GREAT! He ate a big piece of banana, drank some water and hopped into his litter box. He has bright eyes, but he’s a little slowed down. It only cost $98 too.

                                  Aww Tansy Boy.
Well, rabbits don’t discriminate on the colors of their blankets and toys
Plus, Tansy is a real cute bunny :3
I’m glad he is doing well! I just got my bun spayed 2 weeks ago and was scared for a couple of hours. I watched the clock constantly and worried and even called at 3 on the dot when the vet place told me to!

lol Gone from an unspayed Doe to a neutered Buck in one day! Well glad it’s all done with now and that you finally found a vet. It sounds like a great deal you got. I like the name Tansy. Plenty members here that had “sex change bunnies” but kept the original name. I know there’s a Daisy and a Penny.

That’s great you got to get him neutered before he started stinking up your house! lol. Trust me, you don’t want that! That is funny what Jersey said about being a “sex change” bunny! I thought I had one of those but pheeeewww, she is a girl. lol I am glad to hear your “little pretty BOY” is doing good.

I would keep his name… or you could do a variation and call him Tanner!
