My little Marshmallow has recently started circling my feet constantly, especially when I am sitting at the computer. He runs around them forever, rubbing his nose on them, being really excited. I read that this means he is attracted to my scent and is just at the age when he is ready to mate. Is this right? Will getting him neutered stop this? I like the affection, but it does get kind of annoying because if my feet are on the floor he won’t do anything else but stay around them.

Also, does chewing stop after neutering? I had almost had him trained that when I said no when he was chewing something he wasn’t supposed to he would stop and walk away. However, my husband’s daughter spent a weekened with him alone, never telling him to stop, so we’re right back to square one. He is constantly chewing walls, carpets, wires, etc. I know this is normal bunny behavior, but I guess we got spoiled when our first rabbit chewed and continues to chew absolutely nothing but her toys.

Our first is already spayed so I am hoping to have Marshamallow neutered soon so that I can start the bonding process!

That’s very normal rabbit behavior. I would definitely recommend neutering as well to stop the circling.

Neutering may not stop the chewing but it’s a start. Usually chewers stop when they get older – I think it’s more age related.

It definitely cute when they start circling at first, but this can quickly lead to ankle nipping, and even spraying your legs with urine. NOT pleasant. Time to neuter.
