I have been feeding Mocha and Lulu spinach, lettuce, and celery every day, they get about 2 or more cups of veggies a day, and about 4 tablespoons of pellets a day. Is this what they should be getting? Lulu and Mocha don’t like celery, Mocha will eat his if you leave it in there but lulu will not touch it.  normally i would just give her something else instead but all we have right now is: lettuce, spinach, celery, parsley, and carrots. i know you shouldn’t give carrots, and if i gave parsley they would have 3 of the bold letter veggies in the veggie list on BB and you are only supposed to have one. what should i do?

honestly, I think the diet you are keeping them on is excellent. It happens to every rabbit owner, that they run out of some variety of vegetable. It is also a seasonal thing. You can give some carrot, just sparingly.

is it bad to feed them lettuce parsley and a little bit of carrots? cuz i am almost out of spinach. hay eating is great! almost to great. mocha’s nesting box only has hay in it, and i give him two big hand fulls and a hand full in his litter box and it is all almost gone in two days! lulu is normal with hay she eats about a hand full a day.

It’s okay for them to have 3 bolded (Vitamin A) veggies a day. They cannot overdose on vitamin A from fresh veggies. If they don’t like the celery, I’d stop giving it and maybe reintroduce it at a later time… maybe in 3 months. But honestly, celery doesn’t have much nutritional value, so it would be better for them to get a second lettuce (maybe green or red leaf?) in addition to romaine.

Mine gets Romaine lettuce, cilantro and parsley every day and 1/8 of a cup of  Bunny Basics – T pellets every other day (mostly because he doesn’t really like his pellets and I found this method works best with getting him to eat them). I think your diet sounds fine. I suppose as long as his urine and poos look good….

Just be sure to keep them with unlimited hay available.
