Does anyone else feed their bun Ecotrition?  I just went to Petsmart to get her a bag, and I didn’t see the bag I normally get.  There’s normally the organic blend, and the regular blend.  I feed her the regular one.  It’s pretty much an all black bag.  When I went today I see the organic blend and a black bag with red lettering and such saying “Essential blend”.  It didn’t say on the bag that it’s new packaging or anything, and the food looks the same, but I just wanted to make sure.  When I asked the petsmart employee, she looked at me like I was stupid. Then when I told her I couldn’t just switch her food, she again looked at me like I was diseased.  Meh, I’ll go to petco from now on.  But for now, any insight?

I found 2 images online of slightly different packaging. Both have “essential” on the packet though.  Check the links to see if these are the 2 you are referring too.  Hopefully the link will open on the page which list ingredients so you can do a comparison.

I hope you don’t mind…..I suggest you look at switching her onto a different feed anyway. I don’t know if this is the product you use, but if so, some of the stuff in the mix is really not ideal in the rabbit diet.

I’d not go with a blend at all. The seeds and stuff in the mixes arent really good for bunnies. A plain pellet is better.

Ecotrition is not even cheap. For that money you can buy a nice plain tiimothy one.
