Ugh, I’m having the HARDEST time finding Peter a pet carrier. It’s hard finding them even on the internet. I want it to be top-loading so I can get him in and out easily, but all of the top loading or two-door ones I can find are too small for him and my arms to fit through. I suppose that I could just stick with a cloth/ canvas one, but I’ve always heard that the hard ones are safer.

Anyone have any tips as to where I might find a top-loading, medium to large sized plastic pet carrier?

I got mine from PetCo, its the dog whisperer brand (the stickers come off yay!) and it has a top door and a front door. Comes in quite a few sizes. Think its a little pricey, but they have online sales all the time.

My Marchioro carrier is a good size. I had a smaller one, but I had to get a new one b/c it had to be big enough for 2 buns…

I love the one I got at Petsmart last year, but it’s not sold there anymore so I am reluctant to recommend it without finding where.

Meanwhile, there’s a top/front loading hard carrier for small dogs at Petsmart that looks quite good, and is half the price I paid.

I got a Petmate from Petco. I liked the Dog Whisperer one too, but it was smaller for the same price, so I got the Petmate.

Just make sure you get a big enough size to fit both the buns together. I got the medium size for my guys, so I’m guessing you would need the large. Petco’s website only shows small and medium, but I believe they had a bigger size in my store. The Dog Whisperer one also comes in larger sizes and has two doors.

The soft carriers are not a great options for bunnies- their teeth are so sharp and they could so quickly damage a carrier that I would not consider it safe at all.  At least in a hard plastic carrier you KNOW that they are not going to escape or hurt themselves while you are driving.
