Oh Crap! I can’t go past this face!! I wasn’t even looking at the pets – I swear. I was looking at local ads in the Freebies section for materials. Off cuts and the likes… So this site must put all free offers from every catergory also under the Freebie heading. So there he was.
I’ve 1/2 constructed and email to the owners.
He’s “about 6 months old”.
I’m settling I think. Coming on BB to put it out there is putting my head back on straight. I mean, I’m late feeding the 2 bunnies I’ve got because I’ve been sitting here staring at this guy. What does that say about my preparation for a 3rd!
Why do some of them just catch you? -
That is so what I would tell people! I think my gut is saying “No” …I think….but he is soooo….. *sigh* There was another bunny a while back, that got to me like this. I still think about him – My Tiger Muffin. *sigh*
Well, I’m going to feed my 2 ravenous rabbits now. So I cannot be influenced by any more wise counsel until tomorrow.

Any updates? He looks like he has the softest fur and his eyes look straight into the camera. Sometimes some bunnies just crawl under your skin, and I think that’s what proves these bunnies are meant for us. That’s how I got Molly and Jack…just by being haunted by a picture on a website.
Come on, JG…two is so boring, but three is fuuuun

Ok, well it;s a “No” In the light of day and I’m ok with it. I have a feeling this guy will get snapped up anyway. Maybe he’ll introduce someone to the lovely world of bunnies. I think I’ll still send an email and query as to the reasons why he’s being rehomed. Probably terribly nosey of me but it can’t hurt. They can always ignore my email.
True to my style, I would have mulled over this (deliberated/procrastinated or whatever you like to call it) and then missed the opportunity anyway. I had being imagining bringing him home and when I posted about him, it made it all seem a bit more real. Saying it “out loud” and I back-pedaled some. I may have commitment ithues…
lol I think this boy caught me unawares and normally when I look at the rabbits online, I prep with a “you can look but not have” mentality. @ Beka – He is like my av-vy! I seem to be haunted by these orangey buns. Tiger Muffin was a orangey harli and the bunny that was frequenting my parents veggy patch that I was planning to ”rescue” was Orange.
@Maddie – I saw Dexter in him too. But I must say, Dexters ears are the Best!
@ Sarita, RabbitPam & MM, the wise 3, ever the voice of reason, your thoughts are aligned with mine some. Isn’t that sensible? You may think different if you read of some of my “logic” below…
@ Mimz – yes, the trio thing. I know Petzy would encourage me here. But my Logic was – if I get a 3rd, I will get a 4th.
I’m more inclined to have 2 pairs. If I hypothetically got a 3rd I may try him with my pair but I’m not all that sure I want to change that. I enjoy pairs. If I had 2 and one rabbit had passed away – I’d consider bonding the mate to the remaining pair. The rex above is a 6month, unneutered male (i think). Not only would their be poop wars, but a teenage bunny to deal with and his possible lack of litter habits. Again, my Logic was “Well, I’m already cleaning up poo & pee galore from a territorial female – so might as well go the whole 9 yards”Oh! Did I tell you guys about the bonded trio I was fawning over a while ago?
Luckily they are no longer available.
On and off for a while now, I’ve considered doing some type of fostering. I wasn’t really aware this was done here much until fairly recently. There was an abuse bun at the rescue recently that needed some TLC. I considered him but he was taken of the listing not long after. Not sure on what happened. But that sort of thing would be great to do, work with a bunny and give them a transitional home. And have support around their care thru an organisation.
Anyway, thanks guys for humouring me and sorry about this long post. I’m not entirley out of the danger zone but the weight of real life issues in very much facoring into my thoughts today.
Finally, @ RabbitPam re “the ugly butt”. How shallow!

You’re a brave lass to think of fostering. I don’t think I could let go of anybun who crossed my threshold, despite really feeling I’ve caught my limit presently.

I have noticed that I am a sucker for certain bunnies, but it’s really the angle of a photo that gets me, because when I go into a site that has multiple photos posted, the other pix aren’t always as cute as the one I fall in love with. So think of it as a love note to his rightful owner out there – who is someone else that you will deprive of an adorable bunny with an ugly butt.
That is SUCH a lovely way to put it!!
