I have been super busy this semester, thus my lack of being on BB at all. The bunnies are doing fine. I finally found a vet that can help me with Hubble’s teeth at reasonable prices! He is still kind of ‘off’, and I am not sure what is going to happen with him when I go away to college in a year, but we’re just taking it one day at a time. Today is actually the anniversary of the day I found Nova, so happy 2nd birthday with me! Eclipse still has full run of my room and has not had any stasis problems since I eliminated some types of greens from her diet. None of them get along or live together, but I like to pretend they enjoy having neighbors.
I had a really difficult spring break week. I ended up finding a stray dog (a min-pin) on Monday, my older Chihuahua, Peach, had a impacted and abscessed anal gland on Wednesday, and then Hubble’s teeth were scheduled for Thursday (at a potential $400 bill if oral surgery was needed). Thankfully, Hubble did not need oral surgery, at least not at this time. So it was only a total of $400 for both him and the Chihuahua. Still ouch, but I have been saving for Hubble anyways. Thankfully as well, a rescue agreed to take the stray dog, despite the need to ‘hold’ a stray for 30 days. In her 6 days with me she managed to poop and pee on almost everything I owned because someone kept letting her out of the crate when I wasn’t home.
Oh, and I wasn’t home as much because our ‘supposed to be a foster’ dog is now living at my boyfriend’s house because he bit and killed a Chihuahua before spring break even started. I’d rather not discuss that publicly (you can PM me if you want), just know that we are going to be seeking professional help for him once our bank accounts recover a bit. In the mean time, if anyone knows where I could pick up a cheap treadmill in the Sacramento area, let me know please! (Yeah, I am talking to you, person with the treadmill currently being used as a clothes hanger!)
In addition to all that, school has been just as difficult as predicted. Hopefully I will pass all my classes this semester. If not, well, I suppose there are worse things in life.
Despite all that is above, I am actually doing pretty good mentally, which means that my thyroid meds are probably pretty balanced (or way off, but I’m going to run with the ‘balanced’ one for now). So what have I missed out on in my absence?
