        Hi Friends~

Simba got nuetered yesterday and he is doing really well. He is peeing and pooping and eating and occasionally jumps to the upper level of his condo. He is acting like he wants to be help and I would love to hold him but I don’t know how to do it without hurting him.

        Any advice?

Normally I hold and cuddle him a ton but since he had surgery yesterday I am scared to hurt him…

Glad he is doing well. I don’t think a cuddle will hurt him.

Can you lay on the floor with him and cuddle him? I don’t think picking him up will hurt him, but you might feel more comfortable about it if you can cuddle without having to pick him up.

I’m glad he’s doing so well. and trying to wrap my head around “he wants to be held”……wish my bunnies had such a wish 😉

He might enjoy cuddling with you on the floor with a blanket so you won’t worry about hurting him.

              (((healing vibes))))

Aw… sweet boy. I think if you don’t want to hold him just yet, definitely let him sit next to you so you can give him some good had scratches!

Great I bet he’s just wondering why your not holding him since he feels brilliant I’d go for it-especially if he wants you to If he can sit in a litter box he can sit in your lap

                    Thank you everyone

I let Simba run around on my bed and he voluntarily hopped up on me so I held him and gave him scratches He LOVED it~

Even better news we have a neutered Netherland Dwarf and they were apart because they’d bite at each other. Simba and Elvis were in the same place and no bites took place Neutering the bunny is the best idea ever!

                      Yay!
Sounds good. I am a big believer in the healing power of (careful) snuggles, both for humans and animals.
A very good friend just lost a beloved dog named Simba last week, so I’m sure nothing but good things will come to a bunny with the same name.

Day go – I’m envious of your lap bunny! Just be careful with putting them together just yet. It can take a month for the hormones to die down and Simba may not be feeling fully up to par just yet, therefore not being as feisty with Elvis and vice versa, and you wouldn’t want something to happen while Simba is still  trying to heal. So I caution you to let Simba heal a bit more before you put Simba with Elvis again.

But otherwise it sounds like Simba is healing well!
