I have researched it quite a bit and there are close to none negative comments. I even found this youtube video showing their rabbits in their cages:

I am thinking of getting a Holland Lop or a Dutch. Would my rabbit be comfortable in this? If you think this cage is to small for a lop or dutch, what kind of cage would you recommend for this cage?
(Note: He will have a big play pen for hanging around and he will be taken outside to run around at least once a day)

I am considering these bunnies from a shelter my friend recommended: (i did go and see them before posting this)

        I am really considering her:

Welcome here! It’s great that you’re doing some research before getting a rabbit. I would say that this cage is too small for any rabbit, regardless of breed. The SMALLEST size cage I would recommend for any bunny would be 2×4 feet of flat, open space, not including any levels. The only appropriately sized plastic-bottom cage I have ever seen is the Marchioro Tommy 120, which is about $100. You could get more bang for your buck by building a NIC condo yourself or by purchasing a dog exercise pen for the permanent housing.

This Super Pet cage is also 2’x4′: http://www.petsmart.com/product/index.jsp?productId=2753350
I actually have this cage and like it because it keeps hay and mess contained, but I do think it’s too small and have a pen attached. So I agree with Beka that you can get more bang for your buck with NIC or an xpen. I think the cage you’ve selected is far too small for any bun.

All of the bunnies you listed are extremely cute! I’m sure you couldn’t go wrong with any of them.

I, too, looked at that cage because it seems well built and easy to clean, but I ended up going with an ex pen hooked up to a huge dog crate at home and a precision pet large rabbit resort at school. At school, he spends less than an hour a day in it, but the rabbit resort would be too small for anything more than just sleeping. The extra large dog pen and ex pen combo work great at home. Too bad they don’t make that Iris larger!

Though that cage is really cute and seems well made and easy to clean, I too think it is too small. The video shows two babies in there and so they will soon outgrow it. I am still partial to xpens and larger abodes even if a rabbit will get out for some exercise because many times a rabbit is active at times that we are not, and it would be good for him to be able to exercise more when he wants, not just when he’s let out.

Check out some of the other posts in this thread regarding DIY (Do It Yourself) cages and check out the “Great Habitats” sections under Bunny Info on this site.

It’s really wonderful that you are looking at shelter bunnies as they really deserve a loving and caring home. I can’t wait to hear about who you decide on. (They were all so cute!)
