When we went to clean pens last night, you could hear Mimzy’s tummy gurgling from the doorway!
He was moving around okay, and I gave him two shots of simethicone within the space of an hour, but I noticed he hadn’t eaten or drunk much during the day and then he powered down his hay and water when I repalced him in his pen after the simeth doses. It took the wholea hour to get his tummy quieted down again. He’s only taking the Reglan once day now for the last two days, and today is supposed to be his last dose. Could this be why, after being on it for two weeks, his tum was full of air?
Will call vet to see what’s to be done, but I felt so bad for him.
I don’t want him to go through stasis again. -

He seems okay today…woke me at about 8 throwing his litterbox and wanting more food. But I haven’t heard back from the vet yet.
Maybe his tummy got lazy about moving stuff through since the reglan was doing it for him. He also had a few leaves of endive this week, which he hasn’t had in awhile…I can’t remember if that’s one of the ‘gassy’ veggies?
