Since Marge decided she never wanted her pen closed, and the pen became more of a playhouse for my daughters , we got rid of the pen all together.  She’s a great bun and as long as she has cardboard and sticks to chew on, my furniture is safe.  So here’s her set up- http://www.flickr.com/photos/24295568@N06/…434335332/  I use the x-pen around our bed at night to keep her from jumping up on the bed and waking us up.  My husband lets her in in the morning.  So far this has been working out wonderfully.  Eventually I’d like to get one of those wooden rabbit abodes, but Marge needs a single level one since she has one eye.  Jumping onto a huge flat surface, like a bed or couch is easy, but she gets nervous jumping into small holes up high.  Anyways, just sharing.   Any other free roamin’ buns out there?

Ours are free roamers during the day when we are home, otherwise they have their own bedroom, hallway & entry way.  QUESTION:  Does that box have more than one hole?  Our buns won’t go in any box without both and entry & exit .

She’s beautiful! Congrats on her free range status 😉

My bun is sort of free range … I leave his pen open all day, but he stays in his area for the most part because he’s afraid of the hardwood floors surrounding it. He usually plucks up the courage to cross the floors in the evening or I’ll just bring him out to the living room using a cardboard box. I wish we had wall to wall carpet so he could really roam around, but I guess it keeps him out of trouble to stay in his pen or in the living room on the rug.

Mine used to be completely free-roaming, but then we moved to another apartment where the wood floor in the living room is just yummy according to one of them. So now they have a big room to themselves at night and when we are a at work, and then the rest of the time they have access to the whole apartment.

We are a free roam house – Coco and Jackson mostly stay in the master bedroom – but there isn’t a gate. They sometimes hop out and scoot around the rest of the house, but all in all, they seem to prefer it in their space. I bought a billion throw rugs for the bedroom, cause we have an all wood floor house too, but they will wander out over the wood floor ( carefully) if something piques their interest.
