For the past few weeks, Buster has been pooping stringy poo w/hair in it. Its not all of the time, but at least a few times a day she has a bunch of it.  She’s got lots of hay, fresh veggies every day, pellets and I gave her some pineapple every other day. I brush her often too. This morning and last night, some of the poops were large and some were really tiny. I’m not sure of her water intake, I have been giving her a bowl of it when she’s out, and see her do, but when she’s in her cage, I’m not really home and can’t tell if she’s drinking out of her bottle.

Also, since my pineapple chunks were getting old, i froze them. When I give her one, i just microwave it for 20 seconds and then give her a chunk.  Do you think thats ok?

        Any advice? Thank you.

She also just peed in her bed we just got her….ahhhhhh!

        2 weeks till her spaying..

Since she’s being spayed in 2 weeks I would suggest calling your vet and describing this to her. Ask if she needs to see Buster before the spay because of it to do anything if it needs to be cleared up or treated. You don’t want to wait 2 weeks, show up and say by the way, she’s doing this, and have it be a problem that delays the procedure. This way, if she needs to be checked before the surgery to make sure she’s OK, it can happen now.

I think a hay increase and the pineapple can help. Yes, I think they’re fine with nuking them. In very hot weather some even let their bunny munch on the frozen ones like a Popsicle. But don’t try that now because extreme cold can also upset their tummies.

                That’s excellent!

As the vet said to the dog who swallowed a nickel, “this too shall pass.”

i would just try to give a little extra hay to make sure she passes all of the hair. the fiber helps to move it all through so u dont get any blockage from the hair.
