So, with all my upcoming spueters – I don’t know if you all saw but Indy is getting snipped Monday, and then soon for Bun, and in a few months Blossom. So I had some questions, I’m sure it’s been asked around here before but my “search” doesn’t really work, nothing changes. Okay so anyways…

I am concerned that once Indy is meeting the girls (when everyone is fixed), that he might not care for me like he does. Right now I am his everything, he loves sleeping in my bed, snuggling, peeing on me….I mean…lol…he just is completely different with me than say Bun. Bun could care less about me unless I have her veggies or a raisin. Indy runs up to me and greets me as soon as I am home, and Bun just sits in her liter box and gives me dirty looks lol. So…when you guys bonded your rabbits did they seem to care about you less? Or did you not notice any difference.  I’d be heartbroken if he didn’t care about me as much anymore because that is what makes him so special to me.

I don’t have bonding experience, but my inclination is that Indy will still be a momma’s boy. His personality might change a bit with neutering and bonding, but I don’t think his overall outlook on life will change. Hey, he might even convince Bun to give you the time of day 😉

No, they won’t love you less. Lint used to be obsessed with me owing to his pre-neuter hormones. It was a little annoying. He constantly went under my feet and several times I tripped avoiding to step on him. After he was neutered that stopped. It has been a year now and he has been bonded to 3 other rabbits. He still prefers to come over to be wiith me. Deirdra came to me spayed. Then I bonded her right away to my other two at the time. She is so demanding for attention from me that she will snuggle up against me and nip holes into my clothes if I don’t pet her. Mops came to me neutered. He likes everything on his terms. He loves to be with rabbits. Still, never have I sat down on the floor without him jumping on my lap to investigate…
Neigey, neutered, bonded, is going through a shy phase right now… but if he thinks I am not going to touch him, he will climb up all over me… Linz, they don’t change, they just stop spraying you after the neuter and they do relish human attention even when they are bonded to another rabbit!

I don’t think he’ll love you less. If anything, the affection he shows post-neuter will be REAL affection and not just horny bunny behavior… I have a very strong relationship with Meadow b/c it was just us for several months before Max came. I’m not as close to Max b/c he bonded with Meadow right away and we never developed that bond, but Meadow still adores me.
