Not sure is this is the right spot for this. But I just joined today In hopes to get some answers for one of my Rabbits…

My rabbit when I adopted him from the shelter almost a year ago, I thought he had problems. Turns out he has a Neurological problem, Thought also he was blind and deaf.. Well since I’ve got him I noticed he would tilt his head to the left side, vet didn’t find anythign wrong with him. But now last night his head is tilt (Not badly just slight) to teh left side and his pupils are white. like a glossy white color and he smells everything and taps everything with his nose..

My question is this… What can I do to help him?

The best thing is to get him to a vet right away. Sounds like he has head tilt. The vet needs to run tests for different things to find the cause and get him on antibiotics right away. Please let us know what the vet says.

I agree, he needs to see a vet.

Yeah I’ve done that though and the vet cleared him of that.

If that is the case I would find another vet.

                  What did your vet say?

That he is fine he wasn’t showing any other signs for head tilt and they checked his ears and his ears are clean.

I just find it odd about his eyes and the way he bumps into things and then sniffs it hard core. Even with his food dish and his water bottle.

Did the vet do any bloodwork or a titer for e. cunniculi?

No to the bloodwork, and I don’t know what titer is.

He was on baytril and some other meds that I had to shot into his mouth and after that he did great.

I think you need to take him back to the vet since he has had a relapse for further examination.
