Just wanted to share a pic of Ava’s setup  It literally takes up half my room!

lol how does she do on that wood floor? Your pictures show her both sitting on towels lol.
My lops have always hated my wood or tiled floors and avoid them 100% of the time; they can’t walk on them! But if it’s my dutches or Pikanya it’s not problem for them. I can never figure out why this is, but it’s kind of nice because it keeps them out of areas I don’t want them in lol.
My only concern is the second level in her kennel. The strings holding it up look quite chewable ;D

She’s so cute! That’s looks great. How does she do with those carriers as litterboxes? If you find her making a mess hopping in and out, esp. with the nice wood floors, you might want to get regular cat litterboxes.

If I could make another suggestions… you might think about getting a sturdy end table in there to put the mice cage on, one that she could still go underneath and have a bed or litterbox underneath for her….  That would increase her area and have the mice up high.

Thanks for the comments, I really love hearing suggestions for improvements

Wasabi- can’t say Ava particularly likes the wood floors, but she’s not afraid of them. Once she’s spayed and mostly litter trained, I plan on getting a nice big rug for my room (the goal is to give her free roam of my room). For now, though, she just slips a bit on the wood, and I feel bad because she seems tentative on it, and its probably hindering her ability to run around. When I let her out, she’s still all over the place though. Unfortunately, there’s only so much I can do for now- my entire house has wood flooring because my brother is in a wheelchair and its easier for him to get around.
And don’t worry- its not string that’s holding up the level! They’re actually wire legs that are supposed to go on locker shelves- they’re cable tied to the cage.
(ha, I think i recognize that picture of Poptart from somewhere! lol)

Beka- The carriers don’t seem to be a problem, and there really is minimal mess. And I find the wood floors to be an advantage- very easy to vacuum! As far as the table… it’d be nice, but I need the drawers for storage. It’s where I keep everyone’s feed and the mice hammocks. I haven’t had a problem with Ava bothering them yet, but I can always move the larger crate a bit to the right if I do, it’ll just make opening the closet harder lol.

                Very cute!

My lop is also not a fan of wood floors. I never saw him binky much until I found a way to get him into the living room and onto the rug – then he went nuts! Haha. I’m sure she’ll be really excited when she can be free roam and have a nice big rug to run around on.
