  Well, I hunted it up on the web last night. I think I mentioned some time ago that the next Pokemon World Videogame Challenge would be one I would attend, come h-e-double toothpicks or high water. And I found out where it will be hosted this summer: The Big Island of Hawaii…where my birth-dad is living, btw.
  
  I am thrilled, and scared to death. Of course, I’d have to win prelims in either Seattle or San Diego but I may get cut off at the pass simply due to funds management.
  
  1) Flying is not only expensive, but hard for me due to my lymphedema-oh, and my PANIC ATTACKS. (I don’t want to go, just to have my left arm blow up like a balloon, or to get put in a head lock by an air marshal because I need to go to the bathroom….NOW!)
  
  2) Haven’t asked hubby for permission yet.
  
  3) Would like to take my son along with me, as it will probably be double-cup and that means I may need a partner. He is VERY good at this game and I’d love to have him along just to enjoy being around all the videogame peoples. He needs an in to the business, may as well start here.
  
  4) I’m going to be 47 this year…AM I NUTZ???
  
  (Okay, answering the last question is optional, if not rhetorical.)
  
  OH…and if anyone out there still plays Boogie Bunnies for XBOX 360…Have you gotten by the beach level yet? I can’t pass level 20 (?) without losing bunnies (no achievment for me!) and I’m not sure I want to…these bunnies and their background music are so adorable!

  Ahhh hawaii. I was supposed to go there for my honeymoon.. and then the car came through our wall and ended that plan for a bit. Someday…
  
  I’d like to add that one of my best friends is in his mid 40s and he loves gaming, so you aren’t that crazy. Gaming keeps us young
  
  And if you go to Seattle, let me know.. it aint that long of a drive and I may have to come visit
  
  I’ll have to check out that game. We have a 360, so for cute bunnies I might have to get it hehe

  Well hubby and I got married in Vegas and we both had to work the next day, so…no honeymoon here either. *gigglesnort*
  Where exactly is Hillsboro at, MB? My grandfather and I went all over Oregon when I was a kid, I don’t recognize the name.

  Do it!!! What a great excuse to travel, see your dad and go to a sun destination-not to mention have FUN I think it sounds WONDERFUL
  
  Anxiety flying-ask your doc for a prescrip to go to sleep for the flight

  I’m completely nuts too, I run a 35+ member guild in World of Warcraft…now my friends roll my eyes at that!
  
  If you have to use the restroom on the flight, now believe me I am the potty queen expert. I have a tiny bladder and take meds for it because I have to go pee every 30minute or so, and in high stress it can be even sooner than 30min and it SUCKS. My entire life. It’s the family joke that we know where every bathroom is in California because of me. Anyways….as long as the plane isn’t taking off or landing…you won’t be stopped when using the restroom. You could try getting betta blockers to relax you, I also take those because I have performance anxiety in orchestra. I start sweating, shaking, cotton mouth, light headed. So the doc gave me enderal , us musicians call it “end it all” and it really relaxes me for solos so I don’t have bad air support when I play and freak out.
  
  Anyways with that said and my pee problems shared to the world ..LOL! I think you need to do it and don’t use the potty as an excuse cuz I’ve done it all my life and it sucks! If you have super anxiety about your medical condition, you could talk to the flight attendant in the back and tell her if it makes you feel better. I too get embarrassed having to pee 7 times on a 5 hour flight to hawaii. I get worried people think i got the runs BAD! lol!

  Well…kind of mentioned it to the hubby tonight and….(wait for it)….he seems to think it’s a good idea! *falls over*
  He probably doesn’t think I’ll actually do it though, so until I rank and the tickets are bought and we’re moments from liftoff, he’ll use it as a neighborhood joke. lol….
  If nothing else, I really should get to the island anyway, because my dad has been having health problems and I don’t want to have had so little time with him.

  On the bright side, there are tons of cheap airline tickets out there now, flyign is much cheaper now than it used to be. And its only a 3 hour drive to seattle from here

  But I totally empathize with you regarding the panic attacks and such. It’s a pain in the butt!

  Well, we looked online this weekend to get some more info. It would appear this is going to be harder than I thought;
  
  First of all, former banned ubers (high rarity/rank Pokemon) will be allowed this tournament. 0_o There are still a few who are banned, but this means everyone will want to use these stronger Pokes in competition. I think it’s going to unbalance things greatly.
  
  It’s confirmed to be 2v2…meaning you must use two Pokemon and your opponent must use two Pokemon at a time (unlike the original one on one) and a total of four is all you’re allowed. So I can’t have one nice team of 6, like normal. I was hoping for something more like League battling.
  
  There’s a list of held items that can’t be used. I have to wonder if we’ll be allowed any revives or max revives, or other status enhancers.

  I was hoping to go with some of my good primaries (first Pokes you’re given in the game) but now I just don’t know.
  lol…We may not even make it to Seattle. *rolls eyes*
