Hello all! I feel like it’s a been a long time since I have got to play on binkybunny but I just got my internet hooked up in my new place and am all moved Anyways about the boys. They are re-bonded and doing great. They are adjusting to our new home pretty well and although most of the living room is currently covered with blankets (until I pick out some rugs), it is hardwood floors and they are even getting used to going on those sometimes!

My question involves their litter habbits. I understand why they have sort of lapsed in their good habbits. For goodness sakes I have been moving them from place to place and stressing them out and I totally get it. I’m thankful they are still peeing in the box (except once by Chubs) but the pooping is…well it’s not just in the box. It’s in the same general area but deffinitely not all in the box. Well, boxes. Right now they have two large cat litter boxes and that’s where they have been getting their hay. I’ve been trying to pick it all up right away but I leave for work and it’s not always easy to do! So, any tips on getting them back to their good habits? This is kind of my first time dealing with this, lol. I got them as litter trained adults! Haha so I guess I get my turn. But tips would be welcome and helpful! (oh and to be clear, they are still pooping in their boxes more than out of them but they’re pooping out of them a lot!)

Oh yeah, territorial pooping for sure! It should die down but keeping them penned for a little longer wouldn’t hurt. Not too much new space at once. It’s possible they’re picking up smells from a pet that may have lived there previously too.

Newly bonded buns can carry on with stray littering for a while, to mark against one another as well as marking the new place. Diligent picking up after them should help as will smaller living area for the duration of these poowars.

Yep, I’ve moved a lot and it’s just their way of making it their home. Let them explore slowly, room by room. Poops can always be tossed back into the litter box.
