Our little doe Jessie was adopted into our home 1 week ago. She is over 2 yrs old. A beautiful spayed little sable point double mane lionhead. We got her for our little blonde lionhead Simba. He is such a sweetie that we got him his own bunny LOL

Jessie never tries to hop off of the couch or bed. She nips when we don’t pay attention to her LOL but she is learning nips are a “No no!” Hasn’t done it in a couple days.

When we are sleeping she turns into a holy terror, digging, pushing & making as much noise as she possibly can usually around 3 am and it lasts until about 6 am.

I combed through the Binkybunny site 1st thing this morning. I followed the advice to spend more time with her during the day. I work from home and made an xpen right next to my office desk with her stuff in it. Then I would put her up on my desk. She loves this little nook. I put her blankie in there. It’s eye level to me. So for the past 6 hours I have been switiching back and forth from the desktop to the xpen.

Now it’s time to go to bed. I hope that she sleeps though tonight.

        Fingers and bunny ears crossed

Good night my sweet bun ma’s & pa’s goodnite sweet bun buddies

Yeah, bunnies can be very loud at night! They’re naturally awake at dawn and dusk, so they definitely wake up earlier than we do.

Can you put her cage somewhere other than your bedroom? You might be able to wear her out during the day, and she may adapt to your sleep schedule a little better, but I think the easiest immediate solution could be to relocate her.

I lived with gerbils in my room in college and they’re similar – I woke up every day at 4am to them making loud noises (banging their wheel on the side of the cage). Not fun! Haha. So I know how you feel.

                  Hi Bun Buddies

We put her condo next to my desk. As I work full time from home. That is right off the kitchen. It is the most active area with the most people.

It’s been close to one week and she does so much better in this area During the day she can go come in and out of her condo. She enjoys being able to hop onto my desk as her condo is right beside my desk.

She doesn’t have the energy to be up at night She gets loads of attention through out the day.

This was a really good idea!

@Katnip oh my goodness! Mr Binx & Cotton do look alike! Such handsome lil buns!
