Our bunny isn’t spayed but has never come into contact with other bunnies.  Today we noticed she is pulling out her hair.   We read that it might be a false pregnancy  any other ideas?  Should we call the vet?

That is the most probable possibility When are you scheduling her spay?

That would be my guess if there is no physical way for her to be pregnant. You can expect this to happen from time to time until she is spayed.

Well my husband is calling the vet tomorrow, I am afraid to have her spayed because I have heard stories of bunnies becoming aggressive after spaying.

Most bunnies mellow out after spaying, not the other way around…

Yes, they are less aggressive not more. She will also be more comfortable and stop the nest building behavior, which is why she’s pulling out fur.
                  Go for it!

Where is she pulling her hair from? Are you finding she’s a little more touchy at the moment? I’m curious to know more about those post-spay stories you’ve heard. Did the rabbits become permanently more aggressive of was it just after the operation? Sometimes they can be out of sorts until all the hormones have left their system.

                        Glad your doing the spay.

It could be a false pregnancy if she’s pulling hair from her chin. But if she’s pulling from other areas-there could be another issue-over grooming or stereotypical stress behaviors. Is it being pulled from her chin/chest area?
