Thumper and Lola seem to kick the bedding out of their cage all day long. I can sweep it up and 5 mins later there is more bedding in the floor. Any ideas on what I could possibly use or what to do so I’m not sweeping all day long and having a mess all over my living room.

Is there bedding all over the floor of the cage? Or just in the litter box? I only put bedding in the litterboxes for my bunnies, and then I use some hardware cloth and bed it into a screen to put over the litter so that the bunnies can’t dig at it all day long. For the flooring in my bunny cages, I use rugs that I purchase from discount stores (just little rugs or those carpet squares). Then, I just have to change a litterbox once every few days, and vacuum the carpet when it gets dirty.

I use fleece blankets for the floor of my bunnies pens- and in the litterbox- pelleted horse bedding- which is pretty sturdy- so does not get kicked out much.

Ditto Katnip and Moo, I only use fleece blankets on the bottom of my cage – all over bedding isn’t really necessary for buns like it would be for un-litter trained animals like guinea pigs or gerbils.

In the litter box I use wood stove pellets or Yesterday’s News which don’t seem to get kicked out at all.
