The husband and husbun are starting to get along better and better. But here’s my question… is this behavior a sign of submissiveness or enjoyment? My husband pets him with two fingers from his nose to the top of this head very slowly. and bowtie starts out sitting up, and then his head slowly lowers until it reaches the floor. At first I thought my husband was pushing his head down, but its gradual transition. So here’s a pic of the head bowing….

I figured he enjoyed it because right after he flopped. :o) Couldn’t help but share the bunny butt!

I’ve noticed alot of buns flatten on the floor when being petted.. i think its enjoyment.

Monkey, of course, is odd. She lifts her head higher when she gets pets, but then again.. she normally hates pets

Definitely enjoyment! That attitude in general means “pet me now!” and means he’s really enjoying his pets.

My bun is to the point where, as soon as I approach him, his head hits the floor. “Pet me now!” Haha

Yep – That is Bun relaxed Pose. Coco does the very same thing – Hunkers down to get more enjoyment.
If I stop, she will reach out with nose and bump my fingers as if to say
“You don’t think you are done, do you? Because you aren’t.”

Yeah, I think it’s submissive, but it’s your husband whose being submissive to the demand for pets by the royal bunny! lol

True, it’s getting your husband to be submissive. If he gets licked afterwards, then your bunny is returning the favor with kisses and grooming.

Very happy bunny. Nice pix, too. Be jealous – those two are bonded.

Very nice photos, I asked the same question too not very long ago. He’s enjoying it a lot, maybe he will get some licks in return soon!

I love the pics too, I was shooting in low light because I didn’t want a flash to intrupt their ‘moment’. ;o) I am glad that my husbun and husband are doing so well together.

The lighting of the photo is just perfect. It makes the moment tranquil and still-life-like. Thanks for sharing.

Congrats on the bonding of these two! I have not been able to bond my boyfriend to my rabbits.

I agree, your husband is the one submitting to your bunny! 😀 (Adorable photos, by the way.)

This site has helped me a ton when learning bunny language: http://language.rabbitspeak.com/rabbittalk.html. Having only lived with dogs before, I first mistook positions like that one for worry or submission, because that’s how a dog might look.
