I need to go, so I’ll keep it fast.

My rabbit feels cold. I keep him inside at about 72 degrees F, but have recently introduced him to new foods (rosemary, mint). He feels cool to the touch (especially his ears), and slightly reclusive (he CAN get moody at times.. especially since I just had to do a recent poopybutt bath).

Is this anything to be worried about?

That sounds an ideal temperature to keep him in. Rabbits regulate their temps via their ears a bit. Generally the ears are cool to the touch but it can vary rabbit to rabbit. Are his ears feeling colder than usual? Is he displaying any signs of discomfort? Lack of appetite, sitting hunched, grinding teeth, loud noises from gut or a complete abscence of gut noises? These things may be cause for concern however if you think he’s just napping and ears are not unusually cold, then there’s probably not much to worry about. Give him something to burrow into for warmth all the same if you aren’t going to be about.

His ears are typically a bit warmer than room temperature, they’re now much cooler.

He’s eating like normal, sitting like normal, and I have NEVER heard any gut noises from him…

Hmmm keep an eye. I doubt the ambient temperature is causing him to be cool.

Cool ears just mean he is not ‘currently cooling his body temp’ (Ears regulate heat, but are not thermometers)

You can take the temp it’s quite easy. You need a plastic (no glass) thermometer (one you will never put in your mouth again-if you catch my drift-and a wee touch of vaseline. (I think you caught that it does not go in the bunnies mouth right?-so just the tip very gently in the bottom)-rabbit temps are much warmer then us-around 101-104 F http://www.ontariorabbits.org/health/healthinfo7.htm
