Okay, another question. Searching this forum, other forums, yt (rabbit owners who post vids. of their buns) etc., I noticed something. Is it normal for Sunny to be a calm bunny? I mean, she binkies, she’ll run here in there, but alot of the time she’s either under a bed sprawled out, or just sitting somewhere, observing. She has full access to my room-and sometimes the whole house. Though, I noticed how alot of people’s rabbits are really hyper. Do I just have a mellowed out bun??

I had to laugh when I read this, because Otto is the biggest lounger ever! He’ll run around the coffee table about 3-5 times per day, and that’s it for him. Lol. Some buns are just lazy!

There’s nothing wrong with mellow!  Bean has his “speed bunny” runs through the place in the morning, but after that, he’s Mr. Calm.  He comes over for pets and then goes to one of his four favorite snoozing places for naps while the Day Star is out.  In the evening, a little binkying, up on the couch more pets and then it’s time for Bunny Bedtime.  Mellow can be very relaxing.

You must have been watching MonkeyBun’s videos! Les gives Monkey coffee in her water-bottle everyday for sure!

It’s pretty normal Frankz. Younger bunnies can be more active but many of them become loungers as they get older. Some will always be energiser bunnies too. Rabbits will also have more active times during the day or night too. Those videos don’t show the ‘whole picture’ – we grab the camera when they’re being active and doing something silly/funny/crazy etc.

I’ve got a super lazy lop and 2 female dwarfs that are pretty lazy. During the day especially – not much action. But once it hits 8 or 9:00 pm watch out -then they are ready to rumble….So days they are more active then others too.

Ahhh  Quantum your bunny sounds like Cotton

Ruby is such a mellow bunny.    I sometimes wonder about her.  She lounges all the time hardly runs or jumps.

She has started giving tooth purrs since she has been in the living room I can say that for her.  I put her down and she climbs back up on my chest.    She just likes lying around being petted.

Nice though, isn’t it?  Yes, Bean occasionally decides that the carpet is sneaking up on him and has to try and pull a bit out of it.  And there was his attempted homicide on the fish.  Twice.    But he doesn’t try and eat any of the wooden furniture and he doesn’t even try to eat paper or cardboard, he just likes to pull it apart.  Laying back on a couch, petting a bun laying down next to you?  Wouldn’t trade him for all the amp-ed up buns out there and I **know** you’d never trade Cotton either, the cute little rascal!

I think it really depends on personality. Charlie is really mellow, my friends call him The Stoner Bun, and tell all thier friends that we have the coolest stoner bunny ever LOL.
Layla is on speed. She’s completely crazy, active and paranoid. You can’t leave her for a minute without her getting into something and causing a mess!

And there was his attempted homicide on the fish. Twice.

Please explain! No-one believes me that Charlie was homicidal towards my guinea pig LOL so Bean tried to kill your fish? LOL

Freya does certainly spend a lot of time laying around like a lazy bum. She watches tv with me. She also can also be a total spaz for 5 or 10 minutes at a time. You just don’t see videos of bunnies being lazy bum because it’s not sure adorably cute and no one wants to watch a video of a bun just laying around doing literally nothing for an hour. I actually have a video of just that. Freya laying for an hour, she’d sometimes get up and move a bit or walk around the room but did nothing at all cute. I gave up and put the camera away. This immediately prompted binkies and running circles around the room. I didn’t even try to get my camera, I just knew that if I did the little brat would stop.

                              Adelaide you are so right.

And No Never would I trade Cotton.   HE runs and explores for a little bit then comes for his lovins.

Franz about those hyper buns  I am betting they poop themselves  out  and lounge or ask for pettings
