Hi everyone! So, Sunny, for a while, finally decided to come around and be alot more sociable than she had been ever since we got her, in late 2007. She’d walk around, come up to you, and even stand up for treats. But now, I keep finding her under my/my sister’s bed, not scared or hiding, just kinda lounging around. But, this isn’t all the time. She’ll stay visible for a while, then as time goes on in the day, just hang out underneath something. She doesn’t seem sick or injured, or scared. Is this something to be worried about? She’s been eating, pooping, etc., regularly.

My rabbit Pepe is the same way – it sounds like she just found a new spot to hang out where she won’t be bothered too much.

My only concern about under the bed is that they can be hard to get if you suspect they are sick. Some rabbits also like to rip the lining and get in the box springs because that’s just fun for them…but you don’t want that either. I ended up having to tear my bottom lining on the mattress pad from another bratty bunny who found a spot to rip and get up into the box springs.

Ahh you’re so right! On the side of my bed, there was a hole into the boxpring. Lets just say some little bunny had a good 15 minutes of me trying to get her out .

How about giving her a big cardboard box with a small hole in it – just big enough for her to jump into the cardboard box. Then she can chew a bigger hole if she wants it, and she gets to have a new and dark space to lounge in.

Yes Frankz same thing happened to us.   I forgot to put up the baby gate got home and no Cotton.  I looked all over under the bed.  I saw a sagging  spot and had to hold it up to see under the bed not realizing it was Cotton making the sag.    Took me a bit b4 I realized little 3lb6oz Cotton was making the sag.

You may get some of those nic cube things people talk about and barracade the underside of the bed with them so bun won’t be hiding from you under there.
