         Good morning everyone:

I have a question Oreo (free range) , a two year minilop, did not eat well last night she hardly ate her veggies that she gets at night.  Now this morning all she wanted to eat was her cardboard that is scattered though out the house.  I have cardboard in corners under the bed and behind the couch (so she doesn’t dig up the carpeting.)  This morning she still hadn’t ate her veggies.    Her poops are not large and not plentliful like they were a few days ago.  She has had some changes in the past 2 weeks.   I had to take  the bunny condo where she used the bottom floor and take it upstairs in the kids room, I had to remove her floor, shorten it and is no longer allowed in  because her son (of whom she really doesn’t  like) has the whole thing.  (it needed moved b/c where live we are not allowed to have pets.  Then last week we had to hide her because the landlord was here.  I kept her in the master bedroom which isnt small but she needed to picked up and put in the bedroom of which she doesnt like to be picked up.  All her stuff was in the room liter pan food water etc.

i am sure all of this moving could cause here stress and upset her stomach.  What can I give her? I have papaya pills here.  Should I give her one of those?  If so for how long.

I think your best bet is to take her to the vet for a physical examination. Stress may bring on gi stasis but there could be other issues like teeth, etc…so a physical exam by the vet is in order just to be safe.

I did not take her to the vet.  I went on line and I called the vet with some of the info I found.   I told him about the cage how she was acting w/me etc.  he felt it was the stress of moving her cage.  right now she needs to drink i told him everything of hers is in the kids room and she will not go to it.  i got up every few hours and took her water to her under the bed she wouldn’t drin if it was just there i had to tip the bowl and put it in front of heri offered her everything watered down apple carrot juice v8, i hand fed her fresh veggies.  she stated to eat. i did this for a few days thursday morning she came flying down the steps at 4.30 am with a look on her face that said I AM BACK FEED ME  she is doing great. i have also been trying to give her the stuff for hair balls but she will not eat it.  she always took it for me before. yesterday we took bubba out of the cage and left the ddor open she was so excited to be in there she even left him some pills that were the pertect she and size.

Glad she’s better! Some rabbits just don’t do very well with any little kind of change in their routine.
