Ok, this is more of a pre-bonding post at the moment, but I thought I might as well start the thread now.

We are going to wait until our renovations are finished in early January I think before we really start working on bonding the trio since the renos are a stressful time for everyone.

Since we just brought Lizzie home yesterday though, I would like to know what can we do to make the transition easier for all 3 buns.  Right now Bunny & Alistair have 1/2 of a bedroom, the hallway and part of the living room.  Lizzie has the other 1/2 of the bedroom.  I had the room just divided by a NIC fence, but last night Bunny and Lizzie were boxing a bit through the fence, and also Bunny was so stressed out that she has been fighting a bit with Alistair.  Since I don’t want things to start off on the wrong foot, and I don’t want to harm the somewhat newer bond between Bunny and Alistair today I covered the fence with towels so that Bunny and Lizzie can’t see each other, they can only smell/hear each other.

So far it seems to have calmed Bunny down a little bit.

Does anyone have any other suggestions for how I can make this a little less stressful for all?

I’m hoping maybe after a week or two I would be able to remove the towels so that Bunny and Lizzie could get used to each other more.

Are you thinking of switching toilets as well? I think that would be a good idea, so they get used to each others smells. Perhaps their toys as well as they have probably marked that as well with their scent.
