Hey guys,
I’m in need of some of your bunny expertise. So Jack, the new 2.5 year old lop that I adore, has started to “dig” in the corner of his cage. All corners. However, he doesn’t have anything in there to move around he is scratching away like a cat would on a cat tree but he just does it in the corner. So here is what I am wondering:
– do you think he needs more toys? [he currntly has 3 chew toys, toilet paper roll and this ball this he moves around]
– does he want me to put something there? [is he digging b/c he wants to potty there and wishes i put his box there]?
– is he just having fun?
He only does it usually in the morning and at night, not much during the day. He has plenty of bedding and toys, but maybe I am missing something here. His nails were trimmed recently…
Also, about his potty training. I put a small litter box in there with fresh hay in it and all he does is tip is over (he was never litter trained before). If I put a bigger box in his play area he just uses it to sit there to eat his hay… any ideas….
I have only had him just over a week so I’m learning his traits, but I thought maybe I am missing something?
He never does the digging outside his cage in his run/play area….
Thanks!
