OH yi. So his scab was big and hard and was bothering him again. So I put water on it to soften it and tried to cut it off with my little surgical scissors. They came off and he feels better. He is lying with his head completely flat on the surface of whatever he lays on. No swelling.
However I discovered the scab that was in his hair is back. Also the flakes are back too. Tuesday I am going to call the vet and take him in for her to see and I really feel that is the same thing that is on his lip.
The flakes I put on a dark surface and they did n’t move so I doubt it is fur mites. His vet did the same early oct when I discovered this. So it wasn’t the scrub that dried up his skin after all. His hair is growing back very fast he doesnt’ scratch at it so it doesn’t itch like fur mites do. I checked his other skin to be sure.
When I brushed him tho I pulled the hair out the brush and noticed a flake with hair attached. I do see a spot of fur on his left side where months n months ago the hair there had looked rough. Then it smoothed out. Now it looks rough agian. I checked there but didnt’ see any flakes.
The flakes are on the bottom of the hair cluster and when I pull a flake out the hair comes with it. What in the H***^+ is this stuff. What is going on.
I have a hard time sleeping worrying about him. However since he is feeling ok chewing and laying his head flat I am not as worried. But still…
Hmmm I wonder if he has an autoimmune problem. I have to quit wondering and guessing and looking all kinds of stuff up on the internet. Just wait for the biopsy . Huh did someone say patience. What is that
Beats head against wall. . That is exactly how I feel we been doing nothing but beating our heads against the wall trying to get this figured out diagnosed and treated. Ouch my head hurts (just kidding)
Well seeing the swelling hasn’t come back yet and he is still eating good and active I try not to worry as much. When it was swollen and hurt him I was really worried and couldn’t sleep nites.

You know, I’m beginning to think Cotton and Mimzy are emailing each other and having their health problems flare up again just so we’ll both pay more attention to them.
(As if they aren’t the center of both our worlds, right BT?)

Well it is sometimes kind of big the flake. My nails are short but like the size of the white of my short nails.
I wonder if it is rabbit syphillis. IF it is I will be mad having to pay for a 2nd biopsy. I can try the penicillin and see but without a true diagnosis I could be wasting more time.
Both vets say he doesnt’ have the symptoms for rabbit syphillis and they didnt’ see it under the microscope when they looked at his eeewww that word again scab. To me that is such a nasty word. I am going to call his vet and see what she says.
Come on me I have to be patient. Ugh is that even a word patience? lol
Well thier mountain hay came in while hubby was out Thank God. He was laughing at me when I asked him to get some soy milk saying I spent too much on them and to return the 2 toys I got for them 3.00 each. OH I was sooo livid. Like is he trying to starve me cuz I bought the buns food and litter? I chewed him out one way and the other. Didn’t do any good.
He has $ he sold both his cars and he can’t buy toilet paper or boy milk or vegies. Sick and frustrating. I am so livid at him. Stingy greedy etc.
He says the quran says a fool spends his $ foolishly and that is the way of the fool. Like a fool and his $ are soon parted and I spend extravagantly and wastefully. My son bought some toilet paper when he came I told hubby to keep his hands off it. HE can’t use it. WE been out for 1 1/2 months. He refuses to buy any. Sometimes I wonder why I stay. If I stay I shouldnt’ complain cuz by staying I am putting up with it. 
I guess I don’t want to be alone and I do love him he is otherwise nice. He gets mad when I watch tv now. I can’t watch the news he wants to pray when it comes on and when I get done he prays some more and yells when I turn it off mute and real low so I can hear it. I guess I should pray about this situation instead of complaining.
This is just a tough month. I stay up nites sometimes worry about Cotton. Paying for him and paying some at my dentist for my next appmnt,. after I pay him off and trying to help my son pay his court stuff off. Gona be tough next year.
Well when I buy soy milk and blueberries I won’t let him have any.
My Mom said I can bring my buns and keep them indoors in a bedroom. She wants me to move there but I truly do not like Louisiana. Well enuf of my whining.

I was herre last week reading this article you pasted. Was funny I was thinking I hope these people don’t notice what I am reading. they may think it is me and not a rabbit and go eeeew stay away from that one. lol
I asked my vet and she said she doesn’t know if it is syphillis or not and doesnt’ know how to tests. I am going to call some vets today or tomorrow probably and ask how to test them.
If it is under the microscope with the scab then I will feel better. For the other vet didnt’ see it. He said the test would be under the mic with a scab .
I keep waffling around on this. biopsy or penicillin. Penicillin is a lot cheaper. However if it isn’t rabbit “s” then I will have wasted 2 months waiting again for biopsy.
Oh maybe I can print this article out and read it at home at my leisure.
