I am about to switch away from the Kaytee Timothy pellets, however oxbow’s are not sold around here and I would have to  order online.  Kleenmama’s hayloft is actually located near me and it would be a great place to get hay too.  They label their pellets as for guinea pigs, but I emailed Linda and she said “I have hundreds of rabbits using my pellets and doing great on them.  They will just pee out the Vitamin C they don’t need.”.  I am curious if anyone here is using them?  Or what do you think about switching to this pellet?

Here are the specs from their website:

I’m pretty sure these are formulated for guinea pigs not rabbits. I just double checked on the website, otherwise I would definitely want to try them.

I wouldn’t use food for guinea pigs.    They have different dietary needs.

Why are you switching from kaytee timmy?     There is also Nature’s Promise Zupreem  timmy pellets.

And yes Oxbow.  My buns love Kaytee Timmy.

Does the company have any plans on making a rabbit tim pellet? I would not use the pig pellets. You could definitely get hay from there and speak with them about your desire for a rabbit pellet. They could really make a big dent in the market if they offered something like that!

So it seems that the biggest difference between guinea pig Timothy pellets and rabbit Timothy pellets is that the guinea pig ones have more vit C and the bunny ones have more vit A. I guess then I’ll stick to the Kaytee or Oxbow ones for now. I’ll ask Linda to see if she can make bunny pellets for us! And I’ll try out her hay.

Let us know what she says about the rabbit pellets – would love to try hers if she does.
