This morning I decided to start a new feeding schedule, since i am not home during the day, and before the time change it was pitch dark when i left I always fed my buns pellets, clover veggies and hay at 5:00  PM sharp but now its light in the morning I am getting a new schedule, clover and hay at 7:45 Am and pellets and veggies 5:00 PM. well I headed out to the cages and started putting clover in a pile in jetson’s cage, i put my first hand fll in and when i went to put my 2nd i heard a few grunts (hes been grunting for a while what does it mean?) then before i saw or knew it snap! right on my pinky finger, it was not too painful but i was in complete shock.  and now im thinking…yepp time to neuter my boys… I just kept putting it off because some people were saying they got their rabbits neuterd for $75, here in South Carolina the lowest I can find is  $115.50  but i really think the boys need it..

Bummer – bunnies have sharp teeth!
Grunting might mean he is not happy with what your doing.
I know the time and light changes mess with me – maybe they are messing with your bunny?

Also, most animals really like a set schedule – so, if your changing it – it will take bunny a bit to get use to the new one!

You answered your won question-time to neuter

Grunting might mean he is not happy with what your doing.

Sounds territorial which can be helped with neutering.

When I had to feed buns who were like that, a peice of cardboard held in one hand -to sheild my hand that’s feeding worked wonders

(DID No one tell these buggers not to bite the hand that feeds??)

Also that’s actually a great price for a neuter Some pay less, but most of us pay a lot more

Yeah, my guess is that he was displeased with your changing of the schedule amongst other things with the hormones. It should be all right. I wouldn’t worry about him being a constant biter.
