I would never give my rabbits garlic. There isn’t any really anything other than onion that I’ve heard nay about because I think garlic is just one of those things you just wouldn’t think to give them so they don’t really talk about it. They will love you leftover mint and basil though – what are you making?

I agree with Sarita, probably best just to stick with the mint and basil! I wouldn’t ever feed mine garlic just because it is so strong, and if I’m ever cooking with garlic they all hide in their bunny huts just from the smell

oooo that sounds really good. I love Mediterranean style food – but I’m a better baker than cook, I’m not very good at knowing which spices and herbs go together, but anything sweet goes with anything sweet!

I would have to say no. I just stick with greens and an occasional carrot. I hope your recipe turns out….sounds yummy!

I’m wondering if you can find a suggestion on how to preserve the garlic. I’m thinking grinding it to a powder, or something else that would keep it for yourself for future use. There must be something people do when they have a whole one they don’t need.

OH my gosh garlic.   We love garlic .  Send it here.    OH cous cous I love cous cous.  I have to be careful though cuz the pieces are so small.  I have allergies and sniff when I eat and end up choking on the cous cous. 

OH geesh here comes a garlic story

One nite as I was fast asleep  my raw garlic eating hubby came into the bedroom.   The minute he opened the bedroom door something awful hit my nose.  Eyes flying open I look and see hubby.  I ask have you been eating that garlic again?  

Yes he says.   OH gosh.  Knock me down.  Now I don’t wake up for anything I sleep like the dead.  WEll unless Cotton or Ruby thump and make a racket.   Phew but that odor was full force.

I pleaded not to do that agian.  Hubby says but I love garlic.  I said I do too but I dont’ eat it raw or the whole clove nor do I put it in a blender vegie fruit drink.  Gagh.  lol.

The next day he eats it again.  So I said ok I will fix this. I ate some too. Then it stuck to my breath and he didnt’ like it. I said see this is what I smell when you do it.  Fortunately he hasn’t done it since.  lol

Also years ago when I was working I had taken a whole garlic I guess you call them bulbs. to work.  I had crackers and mustard.  So for lunch I cut a garlic put mustard on a cracker and ate the snack.  I ate the WHOLE BULB 

Hubby (my ex) comes home and says gagh what is that smell.   HE came closer and said it is you.  Who ME?      He said I was stinking up the whole house with my breath.   rofl… I never did that agian.

If you keep your garlic in a cool dark place (think same place you store your onions and potatoes) it will stay good for a long while. Plus you can always use it up pretty quickly… Making mashed potatoes, throw 4 cloves in with the boiling potatoes and mash in for a very subtle garlic mash. pop several cloves into a bottle of olive oil for a slightly garlic oil to use in toasting bread, making dressings, using in marinades… Super good.
