I’m not sure if I mentioned it, but I’ve been out of work for a few weeks. It was totally a blessing and I’m trying to turn this into an opportunity to change industries a little bit and get the job I really want.
I have an interview tomorrow and I was hoping I could get some good vibes! Honestly, it’s not my ideal job … the commute is over an hour each way, it involves travel (which I swore I wouldn’t do again), and it’s in the same industry I’ve been in. However, I interned for the company in the past and I know they’re a great place to work. I’m even hoping that if I do well, they’ll try to place me in a location much closer to my house (though I’m a bit less qualified for the close-to-house jobs).
So wish me luck, BBers. Even if I don’t get the job, it’ll be good interview practice. If I do get it, I’ll have to decide if I even want to accept. But whichever way it goes it can only be good practice while I work towards getting the job I really want.
Oh, and I have to be there at 8:15am, which means I have to wake up around 5:30am to make sure I’m there a little early even in case of traffic. I’ve slept in late the past two weeks, so wish me luck that I can still get my butt up at 5:30am
