It truly depends on the rabbit. Some jump and some don’t. Some rabbits do seem cautious of heights.

Archie didn’t jump on the furniture when we first got him and then we bribed him with a treat to jump up….hm that might not have been the smartest thing I’ve done   Now he jumps on the reliciners all the time.  Gracie doesn’t jump to well but I’ve caught her following Archie on the couch.  I wish Sandy didn’t know how to jump on the couch, she sees me sitting there and immiediately jumps up to get attention.

Otto isn’t much of a jumper either. It took him 4 months to learn that he could jump from the second floor of his maze up to the roof. Lol. And he’s jumped onto the couch maybe 3 times total. Some bunnies just aren’t interested in jumping as much as others! Though you may find that he gets more adventurous as he gets comfortable in your house.

Sammy doesn’t jump at all. She went on the couch about 3 times and decided she didn’t need to do it again and hasn’t been back since.
She won’t let me pick her up either.

But she also does these magnificent popcorn binkies, and regular binkies, and wicked fast bunny 500s, so I no longer worry it’s a problem with her legs.

Mine aren’t too much of jumpers until its treat time, and then a couple of mine will actually spring into the air off the side of their cages. I do have a couple that will hop on top of anything…Raymond hopped into an open box once because he forgot to look first

lol. Say “they don’t” and they WILL! Watch out with the bed, now he knows he can get there you may find him up there more often. Which is cute…..but it is a favourite spot for marking with urine. That and the sofa.

Oooh, I had a dog named Otto! I loved that dog. He passed away last November.

Yeah, Spencer doesn’t seem interested in jumping, however, his binkies can get pretty high off the ground. Well, I guess he won’t get into too much trouble if he doesn’t jump onto things.

I’ve never known of another pet named Otto! How cute

As much as I’d like Otto to jump up on the couch with us (he’s only done it 3 times, like RabbitPam’s Sammy) it’s nice to not having a jumpy bunny. I use one grid high NIC cubes as a fence around the living room to keep him from the tv and books. He could very easily jump over them, but has never shown any inclination. I just hope he never learns to like jumping so I don’t have to stock up on NICs and make a 3′ tall barrier around the outside of my living room

Kokanee was a true athelete-she got to the top of ANYTHING. Babygates were simply a challenge to be overcome.

My bunnies now-all of them-lazy It’s nice, I don’t have to worry. Two NIC cubes high is way too high for them, and even one will keep them out of places. (Three high was be a climb for Kokanee-not a barrier). They do jump up their cat condos, but that’s about as high as they go

Ruby isn’t much of a jumper.  I put that thing under her door so she could jump up n down from her cage by herself but I heard a banging in there one nite and went to see but she was ok.

Since then she doesn’t jump in n out by herself no more.  Once when Ruby discovered she could jump to the top of Cottons house when they shared it she got so excited about it she kept jumping up n down from it.  lol…

Kayla the nice young girl I got her from said yes she does that. lolol…  when she discovers she can do something she keeps doing it for a while. 

She is so sweet.  I pull her loungeing shelf closer to me and pick up her front then pull her forward then pick up her back.  She doens’t kick or squirm of nothing.  She looks so cute when I take her out.  I am going to try to get a video of that. She looks so cute.

And yes as soon as you say oh  mine don’t do such n such well….. within days they then start doing it.
