Whoo-hoo!!! I just got the call from the vet’s – Oreo is awake and doing great!! Yay! I’m so happy my sweet boy is ok and gets to come home in less than 3 hours!!

Just an update. Last night Oreo didn’t want to be bothered to much. He would let me give him a few nose rubs then he would get up and move away. He had 3 spots in the kitchen that he would lay in and that’s about all the moving around he did. You could tell he was sore just by how he moved. They gave me some pain meds which we gave him around 7:00 pm. He ate a small piece of banana and a few nibbles of red leaf lettuce. I didn’t see him drink any water and by 6:00 am this morning he still hadn’t used his litter box. This worried me but around 6:30 I gave him breakfast and he did a little better. He ate some cilantro, some carrot, a piece of romaine lettuce and he even ate a little of his pellets. Drank a some water and hopped off to the litter box and did a little potty and poo!! Hooray! He seems to slowly be getting his appetite back and he is moving around a little quicker which is great! The only thing is he’s starting to pull at the stitches so we put a soft e-collar on him. He does not like it but boy he sure looks cute!

He actually got the collar around his waist so now it’s more of a skirt that a collar!! Silly bunny!
