Honestly they don’t like to be held. It’s the nature of the prey animal. Obviously there are times when you must hold your rabbit but for the most part it’s best to try to get on their level (the ground) for petting and interaction.

Unfortunately this little bunny quirk is one reason why so many of them end up dumped or at the shelter.
Little kid sees cute little bunny, bunny gets brought home, 2 weeks later, little bunny still scratches the bejesus out of the little kid when he tries to pick it up and carry it around like a doll, little kid bleeds and cries, little bunny is burden to parents and they dump the little bunny…

My Hunny must be a freak of nature! I know that if I get another bun, I cannot expect it to be like Hunny. Hunny loves me to hold her on her back like a baby as she has a foot fetish. She loves it when I rub between her toes and massage between her toes with my thumb and rubbing her feet, she loves it and it puts her to sleep on her back. She is used to me holding her on her back like a baby since shee was six weeks old. That is probably why she don’t mind it.

Our babies are like that desma. they LOVE bing held. Carl has been picking them up and playing with them since they were about 2 weeks old, and they just LOVE being on our laps now. So does Stu, but she has to jump up there herself.

Awww I wish Leroy liked being held that much! Desma, I bet that makes nail clipping easy!

I had one rabbit like that  her naem was honey bunny too.   she is a french lop  blue tort color.   She lived in the bathroom which I was sad about since she was such a lap bunny and would run for me. 

IT was hubby’s bunny but he refused to buy pellets for her.  HE fed her bread and fruit.   No matter what I said he wouldn’t stop .  I fed her pellets from my buns bags and plenty of hay but he continued with the bread and fruit.  She mostly ignored that stuff she wanted hay and pellets.

She is in a good home with a nice lady who does fosters from the humane society.  She loves him and he has run of her kitchen oh turned out we thought it was a neutered male  it ended up being an unspayed female.   I feel good knowing she is in a good home.

Your honey bunny sounds like the one we had you could carry her like a baby  she had to be with you constantly.  Such a wonderful bun.  But she hated being brushed.  she kicked the brush across the room once rofl… 

She shed a whole lot too.   I think where she is is better for her.

I wish I could trance Cotton.   I may  have to do this scrub to his lip the rest of his life.  Seems like. Trancing would make things so much easeir.
