Hehe so Comet did the oddest thing tonight! So today was great day for us, he was very affectionate- even “groomed” my toes for like 15 minutes and of course, marked me all over! But he was just much less skittish today in general. yay! Then tonight I’m sitting there petting him and he’s in full bunny loaf position. But then he gets up and starts running circles around me. He did like 4 and then stood right in front of me and thumped! Then he repeated about three more times. Then he flopped about a foot away. Any clue what this might mean in bunny speak??

Is he neutered yet? Running circles is an affection thing and many un-neutered rabbits do this.

Yeah, I think Sarita is right… I seem to remember the circles as meaning, “I want to make sweet bunny love to you right now!” When I had Xiao Pang, before she was fixed, the circles were often accompanied by a musky smell and an arm-humping attempt. Good times.

Coco used to thump at me when she was dissatisfied by the length of my grooming – this was early in our relationship so I had not yet been properly trained to give the nose rub body groom she has come to expect.

And she is spayed, but still does happy foot circles around us when she is pleased or excited.

Samson used to run circles around me prior to being neutered. It was super cute!!! He has done it occasionally since the big snip… but usually when he wants something like a treat or food or rubs or when I am not paying enough attention to him.

hehe I know the circles are a love thing. Chubs does this all the time! And I love it. I was confused about the circles mixed with thumping, haha. seems contradictory.

HAHA.. Funny story… We call this “dancing” in our house. Bunners loves to dance when I am wearing pants, it’s evidently a novelty to him (I’m a big fan of skirts so I usually have bare legs, at his height at least).

One night we were dancing and I tripped over the ottoman and scored a pretty awesome bruise. lol. Bunners just ran up to me as I’m laying on the ground and started chewing my hair. He was very supportive.
