She sprayed on it!!!!! Like 10 minutes agoo…. She’s been licking the sofa for 3 days now and today she decided it’s hers! She never displayed this kind of behavior. Before, she used to do her stuff in her cage and now she does it on her two litterboxes. I loved having her on the sofa next to us but I can’t now or it’s gonna be named Sophie’s land written in pee-pee. Maybe it’s because she’s not spayed yet? Or is it that she just wants to claim it as hers?

and about half an hour ago…she claimed 2 pillows that were on the couch, she licked them and then pee peed.

She’s smelling you on them, and wants it to be hers instead. Wonder if its a territory thing now that the bunnies are getting bigger and moving around more.

That’s interesting..I hadn’t thought about that, her marking territory cause of the babies.

Aw, yes… the territory claiming phase. I remember it well and am pretty sure that I’m heading for another one now that Echo is getting older. From now on, you’ll need to watch her closely any time she’s on furniture, especially the prime real estate, such as couches, beds or anywhere else that smells a lot like you. When she puts her little tail up to pee, put her in her litter box and reward her for using it. However, it’s kind of a losing battle until she’s spayed, as far as I’m concerned.

Don’t worry, though. Calypso peed all over my couch, but you’d never know. I use a half and half solution of vinegar and water. The sooner you spray the better it works. It’ll smell like vinegar for a bit, but that smell fades in a couple of days. Good luck!

Aww, I am sorry Guily! Maybe she is claiming her OWN space since she sharest hers with the babies, like other memebers said? I hope things get better for you. I would clap when she looks like she is going to pee, so you can catch her and put her back in her litter box like Lara said. I had do the same with Bella, she LOVES to pee on my dog’s bed! I clapped and put her back in her cage in her litter box and gave her a Cheerio and she hasn’t done that since. Good luck to you, Sophie will do great!!
