You could go really corny- and Jay could be the Easter Bunny and you could be a carrot. 

What would be awesome is you you were to dress up like Kaye and Winston- you would wear all white- have the “hottot” marks around you eyes and white ears. And Jay could be Winton- black pants, white shirt, dutch marks on face and black ears.  Of course this might create the need to explain your costumes which would take the fun out of it- unless maybe you get a pic of Kaye and Winston blown up to 11 x14 or so and have it labeled where the trick or treaters can see it.

EDIT: or put it on the outside of the door so they see it before they knock.  You could photoshop some candy corn, a witches hat, etc onto the pic to make it very halloweenish.

Maybe if you like the 60’s you could look at Mad Men for inspiration since that’s such a hot series and I love their outfits.

You could also do something from Alice in Wonderland – The White Rabbit, The Mad Hatter, The Queen of Hearts.

Since you’re giving out candy you could be Willy Wonka. You could be the Gene Wilder version, and J could be the Johnny Depp style.

i was thinking of being the mad hatter. but i’m trying to find one that isn’t to… slutty. since i’m in college, halloween is basically dress up in lingerie day. i’m not down with that.

When i was little, my mom made me and my sister costumes. The most original was when she made me up into a box of Ivory Soap, and my sister was a tube of Crest toothpaste

Nice pic! I’m sure I’ll probably be a devil yet again. Essentially, I do nice dramatic eye makeup, red lips, slick back my hair and wear devil horns. I am a creative genius, I know. lol. I figure: It’s a classic, I never have to explain my costume to anyone, and I get to look pretty. Oh, and it’s super easy!

I do have a dream of one day being She-Ra for Hallowe’en. You know, princess of power? That would be an awesome costume…

 ROFL   you are reminding of of Halloween’s past.    One year I went as a hat rack.  All these caps and hats I pinned on my clothes all over the place.    Reading about the Mad Hatter  you reminded me of it.  

Another year I went as a money tree.  I got branches from the tree outside and bought some fake $ and a bunch of safety pins.  I pinned the $ all over the leaves and stuff.   I took my son out trick or treating and some kids chased us trying to pluck the $ off.  We had fun. 

Another year I had a belly dance outfit back when those things still fit me.  I took Brandon my son out and we went to this house.  We knocked the man had the door open but not the screen door.  HE was real tall and big.  He came to the door dragging an axe a big axe behind him.  We started backing away from the door.  I wasn’t sure if this was a costume idea or an axe murderer lol.  Then he opened it and gave us candy.   Now that was a very convincing costume that man had. 

OH another good one.   I had had back surgery 6 month earlier.  Still hurt too.  I had a walker my big plastic back brace you probably seen those after surgery things. I put in my jammies and my house slippers.  I got this clear tube taped it to my arm where you draw blood and put the tube in a backpack with a coke bottle sticking out.  Messed up my  hair real good.  Then out we went. 

Several people stopped to ask if I was ok rofl….   Even the cops they got a good laugh out of it.  That was a very convincing costume. People didn’t know if they should call the ambulance or give candy. 

Halloween so much fun.  My son is grown and gone so we don’t do halloween anymore and we are Muslim so we skip it. 

OH you know what.  I could dress up like Cotton and put the messed up lip costume and go as THE  LIP   

 Yes upon further thought I could cut out some little pieces of paper  bag and tape them to my bottom lip that would look convincing   

oohhhh bt, you are in soooo much trouble after Cotton or Ruby gets on the computer and reads this!
