  Little-Bit is SUCH a unique bunny. I’m almost positive she was part of an accidental litter because she’s DEFINITELY a mixed breed. I’ve never seen another bunny like her, but against all odds…
  
  I KNOW THAT CHEST FLUFF!!! That ominous fuzz-!! That’s not a shorthaired bunny, that’s a bunny with a small degree of lionhead in it!
  
  Ugggh I want to adopt SO BAD. It looks JUST LIKE Little-Bit! But I don’t know, I’m moving out on my own in a little under a year -do you think that Little-Bit would have time to bond with a friend? Would it be wise to try getting her a friend right now? How hard is it to bond bunnies and how long does it usually take?
  
  >_< I'm not even sure Little-Bit KNOWS she's a bunny...but I do know that she'd probably love a friend at some point. She's such a loving, social girl.

  I didn’t know Lil Bit had lionhead in her! “Bitty” that is so cute!! So where did you see this look-a-like? There’s 2 buns in the carrier, are they bonded? There is something a little odd about the fur (dewlap area) on left side of pic. Maybe molting? Or is it just a trick of the photo?…
  
  If Little Bit is a social girl, you could always try a play date with her and this bunny if you want to suss things out further.

  About 2 years after I got my first Aussie, Skye, I saw an Aussie listed in the paper for sale with the EXACT birthdate. I called and found out it was Skye’s sister- but she was totally unsuitable for my household. She had been chained outside on a farm, allowed to run some, chased cats and had started killing chickens. I have cats and parrots- so that was out of the question for me.
  
  Ask yourself this though- Do you WANT a bunny that looks so much like Little Bit? And even though Little Bit is an awesome bunny- her littermate is not likely to have been raised so well and lovingly- otherwise she would not be available for adoption.
  
  I can see why you are so tempted- but I think it is too much to expect that this bunny could be like your Little Bit- even if it is from the same litter. Your love, attention, and all the freedom and care has shaped Little Bit’s personality. Sure, the other Bunny could learn to be awesome and trusting too- but so could another bunny.
  
  But with that said- follow your heart. That is how to make the best decision when trying to decide to add another bunny. If you KNOW this bunny was meant to find you- then it was meant to be.

  Jersey -Lol, yes we’re PRETTY sure she has Lionhead in her. Or something. She has…um…well, we like to call it a ‘boa’ because it’s definitely not a full ‘mane’ and now she’s starting to get a little bit of a mowhawk. That fluffy dewlap area on the adoptable bun is what I’m thinking is the ominous lionhead chest fluff that Little-Bit has. That’s why I’m thinking they could be potentially from the same litter. If the two buns in the carrier are bonded, I think it will probably be a no-go unless anyone thinks it wouldn’t be too much harder to bond Little-Bit to TWO bunnies. I wouldn’t dream of tearing a bonded pair apart.
  
  Oh, I know all that KatnipCrazy. As a matter of fact, for any bunny that I would get as a partner for Little-Bit I would HOPE that they have a different personality so they would mesh. As for looking so much like her…well I can tell the subtle differences. In behaviour and looks I would think. I just think that if these two are from the same litter, it would almost be a sin not to try and re-unite them if it’s feasible. I’ve written an email to the place for further inquiry.
  
  I’ve got to admit, even if they’re not from the same litter I’m still really curious about getting her a playmate. Do you guys think it’s a good idea? I have a window of about a little under a year before I move out, and I think that if I’m going to bond her to another bunny, this is the time -but is that feasible?

  If you think that you will be able to get housing that you can have 2 bunnies at- then if you are looking for a friend for Little Bit you could certainly start looking for a suitable bunny and bonding if you find one. If you are unsure if you are going to have to “sneak” or “hide” Little Bit than I might hold off on getting another bunny- it is harder to sneak and hide 2 bunnies.
  
  Little Bit has free run of your room right? Are you going to have some neutral spaces to work on bonding and another area where you could keep a new bunny when it first comes home?
  
  Just be prepared for the poo and pee wars that come with introducing a new bunny into the house. Cotton and Schroeder are just starting to settle after me bringing Griffin home- and I have not been able to even start bonding yet since Griffin is not ready to be neutered yet.
  
  I think if the timing is right and you find an appropriate bunny that suits Little Bit and you- I think another bunny would be an extremely lucky bunny to be able to come live with you and find their forever home.
  
  I know what it is like to think you might have found a littermate- I saw an ad on Craigslist that sounded just like Schroeder- same age, color, breed and already neutered (Schroeder was adopted thru the Humane Society) so I emailed them to find out where they got him from, etc. But he already had found another home. So I totally know what it is like to love one bunny so much that you want to extend that love and care to a littermate!

  How cute! But I have to agree with Katnip as far as: do you want an identical looking bun to Little Bit, but with the potential of being NOTHING like her personality-wise? Even brothers/sisters who are raised together can be like night and day and possibly being related will neither help nor hinder the bonding process. I like the idea of multiple rabbits b/c you can have all different colors (says the girl with two B&W broken buns!), any different breed, different sizes, etc… I wouldn’t rush into getting this bun just b/c they might be related. When the time is right for you, you’ll find the right bun.
