I noticed that Chewy has some dandruff-like flakes on his back behind his ears.  It is just this one spot, but it looks almost like the skin is really dry and flaking.

He was just at the vet for a check-up and nothing was noted by her.  Should I take him back to the vet, or could this simply be a dry skin patch?

I’d call your vet and let them know, but it might just be dry skin.  Is he in a shed now?

dry skin can indicate some yucky things or it can be as simple as dry skin.
i would call the vet and they’ll do a skin scrap and make sure its just dry skin.

I’d definitely call the vet as others indicated. It could be nothing, but if you wait on it and is something it could be more costly or harder to treat.

I’m having the same situation with my Olivia. She has a spot right in front of her ear. She’s not scratching at it at all so I’m just waiting to see before I take her to the vet.

Is he losing fur where the dandruff is as well? There seems to be a lot of buns lately experiencing dry skin issues.

He’s not losing fur and there is no change in his behavior or eating habits.  It’s just that one spot behind his ears.

He’s going to the vet next week for a checkup, I’ll have my doctor look at it then.

                  Thanks as always
