after 4 months, Fluffy has got 2lbs body weight and back to his “normal” body shape. he’s grown much as well. every day, he takes 1/8 pellets, 2-4 cups of green and unlimited timothy. actually, he takes a lot timothy, finished with a 2kg pack within 3 weeks. yesterday, i contact my dealer and she said timothy is out of storage for 1 month, and we still need to wait 2 or 3 weeks! i spent the whole afternoon to visit every pet store, contacted on-line dealers, only found timothy shortage spreaded all over my country! i’m still trying to looking for, but have to think about Plan B. i got a pack of hay earlier, imported from Belgium. it’s not timothy, but a sort of mix, Fluffy doesn’t like to chew. i introduced it gradually, mixed with timothy (there are still ~1.5kg left), hope Fluffy would accept it. if he won’t, i’ll think about mix timothy with some legume hay. but, don’t let Fluffy know the Plan C, or, he would love it and  keep himself from B.

Will he eat Oat hay? Is that available? Where can you order from for overseas products? I have a link for a Singaporean store…

Edit: Now I can’t find it

thanks, jerseygirl, but consider my situation, i guess overseas odering is not realistic. hay, and other biological samples, would take very long time to deal with complicated procedure with Custom (the dealers have done that so they can import much easier, i think). Oat hay would be ideal alternative! i’ll do some web searching
i have some rice hay i planted myself. but it’s fresh-cut and i don’t thing it could be fed in shor period.

Actually, in my search for that site link, I have seen you can probably get other hays readily enough locally in pet stores! Anyway, oat and orchard grass are good alternatives.

Can visit the sites, just cannot understand them.  Only Chinese I know is Mao Mao!  Luckily the site had pictures.  The orchard grass looks a good option.  Hope Fluffy likes it.

Now have to share other pictures I saw there….

Wow, glad you found some orchard hay.
This kind of thing makes me remember how easy we have it in the states, with everything at our fingertips.
