  I wrote a post previously about how Thumper does this thing where it looks like she’s talking, and sometimes she does it while looking at the ceiling. Some people asked to see video of it, and I finally uploaded some! =) Enjoy!

  How funny! It looks like she is trying to lick something….could it possibly be a teeth or nose issue? Not to take away from the cute. xD She’s adorable.

  That is definitely her lick reflex – when our vet tried to check Jacksons teeth his strong lick reflex got in the way of seeing his back teeth.
  
  Has she been seen by your vet yet? I am worried that – while cute – she has something in her mouth ( like the way her teeth are growing) that kicks up her lick reflex – like she is trying to swallow something and can’t quite get it – like popcorn in your teeth.

  I took her to get checked up by the vet a few months ago and she said she was good… blood work, fecal samples all good and the spay went fine too… I posted up about this awhile ago, wondering if there might be something wrong, but putting up the video illustrates it a lot better than my words do.
  
  I’ve never heard of the licking reflex. I figured maybe she had some hair stuck in her teeth because she has pretty long hair and is molting up a storm right now, but can it get bad enough to take to the vet? Is there anything I can do or check? She usually does this in the middle of her really long, tedious grooming sessions. =\ She also does it sometimes when she’s eating her fecals, I’m pretty sure she has some in the middle of the video…

  (It could just be a behavior. Kahlua does a similar thing when grooming and it’s sort of how she gets her mane out of her mouth-she’s a full lionhead; however I don’t want to discount that it *could* be a problem. You said she was vet checked-and a fecal/blood work up is really good. Did the vet check her teeth? -Like I said, my lionhead does a pretty similar thing )

  Teehee – that is too cute. The commercials in the background made me think she was trying to voice over the commercials. Whatever it is she’s selling, I know I’d buy it.

  So funny! Interesting about licking reflex…maybe that’s why? I hope there is no medical issue behind it – it is super cute! Love her fluffy butt skirt too!

  What a funny thing. Sure is cute. She has sideburns too. A lionhead dutch mix. Hey Cotton do you hear that. There is another lionhead dutch mix out there. And it is a girl. Lets go bunnap her. lol
  
  Ruby does that too when trying to get hair or her chest hair out of her mouth after grooming. Not to the extent Thumper is doing it. Eventually Ruby gets tired of tongueing it and uses her front foot to brush under her chin to remove the hair looks funny wish I could catch her on video.
  
  I had a boxer with a strong lick reflex. She would lick the air too. Anything she could get her tongue one. Yep including the air.
