flora and fauna are doing rather well with the litter training… it has been weeks since they’ve urinated anywhere outside the litterbox… except for the couch. (i am thankful that my couch has a washable cover.)
are there any suggestions as to why the couch is so appealing, or how to deter them from the couch altogether?
i have consistantly cleaned up the puddles using white vinegar and pet odor remover. i keep a very close eye on them while they’re out, but they manage to make a puddle *instantly* upon hopping onto the couch… almost as though they’re going to the couch because they think it’s a litterbox.
the best explanation i can come up with is that the couch is the only place the bunnies go to that is cushiony like the bedding in the litterbox. all of my floors are stained cement so they’re used to mostly hard surfaces. however, this does not make the behavior acceptable and i am growing very weary of washing the couch.
any advice would be greatly appreciated.
