Well for last week the vet wanted Cotton to continue every other day for 2 days plus the 3 in a row b4 that.  Then we went back yesterday.

Once again 3 every other day. Dang.  Cotton and I are both frustrated with this.  We have been dosing him since July. Poor guy.

It isnt’ quite gone yet.  Almost tho.  I am going to continue his cream 2x a day as well.  Then he goes back next week again. Hopefully that will be the last of the meds.

His Dr. just wants to be sure it is gone b4 we stop meds. If it isn’t all the way cleared it it will come back.  So onward we go with his meds.

Today I did oral and 2x the cream.  Last week I only did the cream with the oral which was every other day.  Hopefully 2x a day every day will help it dissapear.  This stuff is hard to completely be rid of.  Yikes.

Today after his 2nd cream I put his harness on and went downstairs in the nice breeze we have today and chatted with the  neighbor. Cotton settled right in stretched our on my chest and enjoyed his pettings. LIttle cutie. OH he enjoyed the attention.

Poor Cotton- I know both of you must be getting frustrated with the constant meds.  But that is awesome news that it is getting better!

Is an anitbiotic cream? Did they test the bug is susceptible to this cream? I guess it’s like when we take anitbiotics. You have to be diligent and take the entire course because if there’s just a couple little germs left and you stop – a couple becomes many again! It sounds like this cream if fighting them well.

Sunday was the last oral and he is going back tomorrow so the vet can look at him agian.

I think putting the cream 2x a day is helping.   I am concerned tho.  He hasn’t been eating his breakfast.  Last nite he kept lying on his tummy in a funny way.  So I gave him simethicone a half of one and rubbed his tummy a little bit.   A little later he started binkying and following me around.

I dont’ want to give him any more oral for a while cuz it may be upsetting his tummy.  The vet said it can do that hence the pre med.

I will bring it up tomorrow.  He doens’t even go eat when I put his supper out. I did give him a little bit of treats he ate that.

better than nothing.  He ate  a little bit of hay.  Tonite he didn’t eat til 8.

He may be depressed to cuz of the continous meds.  And prednisone can change a persons mood.  Supposed to increase the appetite tho,

The cream I am not sure if it is an antibiotic.  Hopefully things will go better tomorrow.

I know how you feel, BT. After all the meds poor Mimz has been on this year, still no real resolution to his runny nose. And I think he’s quite tired of it all.
Sending healing vibes to Cotton Boo and you too! ((((((((((((((vibes))))))))))))))

I hope Cotton is better soon! It sounds like the poor little guy is really sick of being medicated so much (and I’m sure you’re not thrilled about it either!).
