  He LETS you touch his bum?? 0_o I wish Fiver would put up with that, he’s got half a dozen little tufts hanging out I’d love to grab, but I’ll get snorted at and nipped!
  I have to say it again, Remy’s coat is superb! How often do you brush him, if you don’t mind my asking?
  And that pic of him cuddling into your hand…! *sigh!*

  Y’know… I don’t actually brush him. When it comes to those little tufts sticking out, I just gently pull them out. Every so often he’ll be like “whoa!” and give me this look. But usually he lets me pick all over him. Also, I use the lint-roller on him once or twice a week, and that helps a lot.
  
  I don’t know why, I just think we got incredibly lucky with Remy. He’s so sweet. He never bites or thumps or anything. He just loves to be loved.

  I think he may have some idea of how precious he is… especially when he does the “veggie dance.”
  
  When I bring him his veggies every night, I call to him from the kitchen and he waits for me at the edge of the living room. When I appear in the doorway with the veggies, he tosses his heads and runs in circles, like “YAY! Veggies!!!”

  When I stop butt-scratching, he stops licking. When I start up, he gets to licking again. It’s too funny.

  I love his spots! What a handsome bun! And yes, you all should definitely go get a rex bun, their fur is sooo soft! Even my mom who really doesn’t like animals – she has pretty severe allergies (and despite that, she let us get a lab… one of the WORST shedders ever with their thick double coat… ) – has told me that she thinks Leroy is pretty and she likes his soft fur. In time he will win her over…
  
  Leroy does the butt scratch – lick thing too! But then again, he licks things ALL the time, even when I’m not petting him. Whatever is in his path, he’ll lick – me, my clothes, the carpet, his beds… generally he licks soft stuff, but I saw him licking a cardboard box once, and I know there was nothing tasty on it. Silly bun!

  Does Remy or Leroy lick alot? I have a mini rex too and he just licks and licks and licks-everything! Blankets, hands, legs, backs, food bowls, the floor, furniture…Maybe its a rex thing, Dexter likes the butt scratch too!

  He licks a lot of things that smell like us. For instance (and this might sound weird), he loves to lick my husband’s shorts when he tosses them on the floor. Remy jumps on them and licks them all over.
  
  Also, he loves to lick our shoes and my feet. I don’t get it… I sure wouldn’t want to!
  
  I love the way his kisses feel. Remy kisses aren’t really wet… more like “silky.” Whenever he licks me, especially on my hands, I always have this big, goofy grin on my face.

  I know, that’s how Dexter is too. His kisses are the best! He will lick my entire hand and then keep going! Dex loves to play on the comforter from my bed. I will bring it out into the living room and he runs on to it and starts smoothing it out and licking every bit he can!

  Yes. Leroy licks A LOT. I’ts a little comforting to hear that it might just be a rex thing… I’m getting to the point that when he starts randomly licking things it makes me sad becasue I think he’d really like a girlfriend to groom, but with college and my constant moving for summer internships – at least for the next couple years – I’m a bit scared to take on the challenge of bonding, though I would LOVE to get another shelter bun.

  I’m scared of bonding too… I often wonder whether Remy would like having another bunny around. But he seems so happy being an only-bun. He spends so much time with us, and then he seems to like his “me-time” just by himself.
  
  Plus, he binkies everyday, and I know that’s a happy sign!
