Hey everyone!

Sorry I haven’t been in for a while! I just moved from Virginia to Alberta 2 months ago and then started back in to public school as I homeschooled most of last year.

My older ferret Chewie was also rehomed, because I didn’t want to risk taking him across the country and into a new one. I also refuse to give any sick, old animal a vaccination if it has an unknown medical history. In order to cross the border he had to have a rabies vaccination. Money is also tight right now and I knew it would be. My parents also did not tell the landlords that I have ferrets. I didn’t know this until they “closed the deal”. With my younger two it would be easier to find them a foster home if anything happened, but Chewie would not be as easy because of his age and illness.

Anyways Chewie is now in an amazing home with a lady I’ve known for a year, who lives in Chicago, IL. Another great lady who lives in Maryland and another who lives near IL volunteered to transport Chewie the whole way. Chewie’s new owner supplies my ferrets food (of course me paying), is greatly involved in ferret rescues, and has a couple other older, sick ferrets. Chewie is doing great and I get updated at least once a month :]! I’m sad I probably won’t see him again, but I know he’s with a great lady.

My current too did awesome with the move and have settled in nicely! They don’t get as much attention, but they get as much as I can offer for now. Our situation isn’t great, but we’ll only have to survive it a year or two.

I believe I posted on here about my foot? I get my forums mixed up so I’ll go over it if I didn’t . Three days before we moved I hurt my heal and had to get 15 stitches. It’s healed up great and I can walk on it most of the time now!

Anyways just wanted to pop in and let you guys know how I am doing!
