Okay, I need a little advice from some bunny people. I have a 3 year old lionhead mix rabbit named Elvis who just loves to get out of his cage and play and do binkies. His cage is in my room and when I let him out I normally sit on the floor with him just to make sure he doesn’t get into anything he’s not supposed to. Then I thought of connecting his x-pen to his cage so he can come in and out freely even if I’m not in the room. That has been going well EXCEPT he chews on any ground cover/surface I put down to pretect my carpet. I’ve tried flat sheets, plastic sheets, thin carpet, and I even bought some colorful puzzle mats for kids but EVERYTHING I put down, he destroys. He has tons of boxes and chew toys but he keeps going back to chewing on the floor. I know he’s not happy being cooped up in his cage all day until I have time to let him out myself.
Does anyone have any suggestions of what kind of flooring I could put down that he can’t get his teeth around?
Any sort of advice would be wonderful. Thank you.
